Normally, I talk about growing your agency, joining a franchise business model, and how to scale, grow, and push forward. However, today I’ll be discussing why I think our franchise model might not be a good fit for you.
At Hite, we work under a franchise model. Our franchisees, on average, have doubled their revenue. However, this model isn’t for everyone, which I want to discuss. Let me tell you why you might no be a good fit for us.
1- Values
At Hite, we’re highly focused on our values. We’re invested in family and faith, and if you’re not –even if you’re a Christian– you might not be aligned with what we stand for. For example, we’ve invested a lot of money in education for our kids, and we also invest a lot of money in our end-of-the-year parties– in bringing all of our families together.
So if you’re someone who perhaps does have family values but think that, hey, that money should be invested in marketing, innovation, or getting a sales coach. So if you’re not aligned with our family-centered values, you might not be a good fit.
2- Prerequisites
One of our prerequisites is that we require owner-operated agencies. If you have an agency but want someone else to run it or take care of the day-to-day, our model isn’t for you. You need to be comfortable with being involved in the business and making decisions – that’s part of the fun, but it also comes with a lot of responsibility.
At Hite, we’re partnering with owner-operated agencies already scaling, and they join because they believe we can help them. So, if you’re looking for just an investment, it’s probably not the right fit.
3- Brand Attachment
Hite’s probably not the right fit if you’re really attached to your brand name. Our model is built around a specific brand identity and marketing strategy that has been carefully cultivated over the years. You’ll be adopting our brand name, logo, and marketing materials when you join us.
It’s understandable not to want to detach from your brand; it’s your baby, in a way. But if you’re not ready to let go, you might want to think twice about joining our franchise businesses.
4- Team Player
We are a big team that believes in team and cultural environments. We learn from each other; we support each other. We’re constantly asking ourselves, “How can I help my fellow franchisees in growing their agency? How do we help each other?”
Our model might not be the right fit for you if you’re not a team player. We all succeed when we help each other out and create an environment of collaboration.
5- City
This is a very logical thing. We’re only getting one franchise per city. So, if we already have a franchise in your city, unfortunately, you’re not the right fit. We want to ensure enough room in the market for each franchise to grow and succeed.
We hope you understand why we can’t have two agencies in one city. It’s just not feasible for franchise businesses to grow. So, if you’re attached to your city, make sure we don’t already have a franchise before applying.
Are We Aligned?
We know these reasons might not be what you wanted to hear, but we hope this article helped clear the air. Although the intent of this was to see why you wouldn’t be a good fit, perhaps you’ve found out that you are, in fact, a good fit! If so, we’d love to hear from you.
